OnePlus 6T McLaren: An Edition Review

In collaboration with McLaren, OnePlus 6T has come out at a reasonable price of Rs. 37,999. The McLaren Edition in India is priced at Rs. 50,999. Popularly known, McLauren has won laurels for its association with speed and driver championships. The tagline for this phone says it all, ‘Unlock The Speed’. Its rightly in sync with its partnering brand.

Besides the classic alliance, OnePlus 6T is making news for its Papaya orange color. This edition ramped up RAM to10GB, and includes OnePlus‘ new Warp Charge 30 technology, which supposedly can provide power in barely 20 minutes

The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition showcases the McLaren’s signature Orange color, integrating it into the phone and accessories as well. Infact, the signature stays with the retail box in every little detailing. On the top cover, you can figure out the brand values of McLauren and OnePlus. The retail box within itself contains a surprise. Install up the McLauren Application, point towards the phone and the pages come alive. All images talk the shape of the video and display the history of the brands. This just adds to the feel and touch of the phone.

Inside the box, one can find the carbon fibre case, accessories and proper documentation. The Warp Charge 30 has a Black and Papaya Orange color and its thick braided with USB Type-C cable painted in the same color. The box contains contains a McLaren logo – called Speedmark – made out of McLaren designed Formula 1 AA-grade carbon fibre, which is similar TO McLaren MCL33 2018 Formula 1 car. Thankfully, one plus did not go overboard.

The chosen colors are subtle and likeable. The bright palette of colors can put the handset apart along with the solid make of the phone. The single speaker has a small speaker which is not too audible. The jack of 3.5mm is also missing, but the USB Type-C to 3.5mm dongle can be found in the box, painted in contrasting colors.
